Ribes sp. 'Black Honeyberry'
 

 
A dark red to almost black gooseberry hybrid that is exceptionally sweet when fully ripe, with a honey-like aroma that gives it its name.
 
 
 
Can be planted in both full and partial shade. 
 
Very vigorous, growing to heights of around 1.7 metres.
 
 
 
High-yielding with early ripening and a long harvest period.
 
It is also remarkable that even semi-ripe fruits taste really good!
 
Balanced acidity profile.
 
 
 
Works very well under fruit trees in a food forest/forest garden :)
